Irn Bru Cup: Spartans head to Kilby in Round 1

Spartans will lock horns with fellow Lowland League outfit East Kilbride in Round 1 of the Irn Bru Cup following the draw made at the People’s Palace in Glasgow.

The pair were first out of the hat in the South Section draw.  A further expansion of the IRN-BRU Cup this year sees the introduction of two English National League representatives to the competition.  Sutton United and Boreham Wood – the highest-ranked Vanarama National League sides in 2017/18 still competing in the division – will join the Irish (Bohemians and Bray Wanderers), Northern Irish (Crusaders and Coleraine) and Welsh (The New Saints and Connah’s Quay Nomads) representatives at the second-round stage of the competition.
