Lowland League: Spartans head to Hawick for tricky Tuesday test

Posted on Tuesday, March 20th, 2018

Dougie Samuel’s Spartans head to the Borders this evening looking to build on last Friday’s victory over Cumbernauld Colts when they take on Hawick Royal Albert in the Lowland League.

With a morning inspection planned to ensure the match goes ahead following the snow fall at the weekend, both sides will be keen for the weather gods to do their bit in order to get the game on as the fixture backlog continues to build.

This rescheduled encounter is one of the three catch-up clashes on East Kilbride who lead at the top of the table by six points.  In the closest Lowland League run-ins since the tournaments conception, it really is looking like a mouthwatering climax to the campaign.

Samuel’s squad is intact following Friday night, with David Greenhill expected to return to the fold.

Kick-off at Albert Park is 7.45pm.
