Lowland League: Friday night under the lights for Spartans

Posted on Friday, February 9th, 2018

Spartans kick off the weekend with a Lowland League encounter against Edinburgh University at Ainslie Park, looking to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing defeat.

A win over the Students would see the Ainslie Park side leapfrog East Stirlingshire into third spot and with four games in hand over leaders East Kilbride, every point is precious and a strong Spartan Army support is called for to get behind the boys.

Gaffer Dougie Samuel has the bulk of his squad available at his disposal however he is without Jack Nixon (ankle), Willie Bremner (ankle) and Gavin Malin (calf) who are sharing the treatment table.

Unfortunately there will be no access to our upstairs cafe/bar due to a function. The downstairs cafe will be open serving hot food and drinks. There will alternative facilities provided indoor for Voting Members and the Committee from Edinburgh University before the game and at half time. We apologise for any inconvience caused.
