Lowland League: Spartans set for Kilby cracker

Posted on Friday, February 2nd, 2018

Ainslie Park hosts an intriguing Lowland League title encounter on Saturday as Dougie Samuel’s Spartans welcome East Kilbride to North Edinburgh.

Whilst there are a plethora of tough encounters that will shape the destiny of the silverware to play, both sides will be out to secure three vital points as first v third unfolds come three o’clock.

Playmaker Jamie Dishington returns to squad after missing out the goalless draw at BSC Glasgow whilst the pivotal Paul Thomson is back in contention after coming through our recent friendlies unscathed.

Spartans sit six points behind the visitors however the inclement winter weather has resulted in a fixture backlog, with a four match gap between the sides in Samuel’s favour.

Earlier this week, talented teenager Nathan Brown signed for the club from St Johnstone and will be here for the rest of the season.  Brown featured in the Under 20s squad on Friday evening against Edinburgh University.

The match kicks-off at 3pm.  Admission £7, Concessions £4.  Under 16s Free.
