The hosts took the lead in the 25th minute when Thomas Garnier unleashed an unstoppable strike beyond Andrew Stobie that drew applause from all corners of the ground. Spartans rallied and David Greenhill was unlucky not to equalise with a 25 yard shot that was well saved by the French goalie. HT: Edusport Academy 0-1 Spartans It took just six minutes after the break for Spartans to draw level when Ross Allum burst into the box before thumping home. Craig Stevenson was then unlucky with a free-kick after Greenhill was sent sprawling twenty yards out. This was to contribute to the Students undoing when Jamie Dishington snatched the winner with fifteen minutes left.
