Lowland League: Spartans set for French test against Edusport in Annan

Posted on Friday, October 27th, 2017

Spartans return to the familiarity of Saturday soccer this weekend with a roadtrip to Annan where they face Edusport Academy in the latest series of Ferrari Packaging Lowland League fixtures.

It’ll be the first time the two clubs have locked horns in the senior level however the sides have been familiar foes in the Under 20s Development League over the past few seasons therefore we anticipate a tough, direct encounter at The Galabank Stadium.

The French Students may find themselves in 10th spot in the table however their Coaching Team will be out to get back to Lowland League winning ways after back to back defeats.

For Spartans, with the exception of Willie Bremner being the sole occupier of the treatment table, gaffer Dougie Samuel has the rest of his squad fit and at his disposal as they look to extend their eight match unbeaten run in all competitions.

The last time Spartans visited Annan was back in the 2008/09 Scottish Cup when we won 1-2, with Gavin Malin and Ross Archibald netting after the break to overturn the half time deficit.

Kick-off is at 3.00pm.  Directions to Galabank can be found here.
