IRN BRU Cup: Spartans v Linfield FC – Match Day InformationSpartans will play Linfield FC in Round 2 of the IRN BRU Cup on Saturday 2nd September (3pm KO) following today’s announcement by the SFPL.Dougie Samuel’s side progressed following the outcome of a disciplinary hearing which found Albion Rovers of fielding an ineligible player during the 1st Round tie in Coatbridge on 15th August. Chairman Craig Graham said, “Naturally we would have preferred to have made the journey to Round 2 on our own accord and we offer sympathy with Rovers having experienced a similar fate in recent times ourselves. The Visitors have had an impressive start to their league campaign, undefeated after three games and a brief flirt in the Champion League Qualifiers too. Linfield have yet to concede a goal in their domestic matches, with seasoned campaigner and 44 times capped Roy Carroll keeping it tight between the sticks. The former Manchester United stopper won’t be making it to the Capital following his recent international call up. It promises to be a great day out for players and fans alike as the Spartans Family welcome Linfield to North Edinburgh for this IRN BRU Cup clash, laced with a touch of international flavour. For the Spartans section of the stand please email tickets@spartanscfa.com to book the number of tickets you want. You will receive a confirmation email and be able to pay for and collect your tickets at our stadium either before the game or up to 45 minutes before kick-off. Based on previous big games the stand will sell out before the day of the game so please book early.
There are a small number of tickets for the Linfield section of the stand. They will be available directly from Linfield.
Linfield fans will enter via Pilton Avenue, Spartans fans via Pilton Drive.
Ground tickets can be purchased in advance, although not for the Linfield section of the ground. To order these tickets please also email tickets@spartanscfa.com.
The following hospitality options are also available:
The hospitality options are not appropriate for the Linfield supporters as they will be hosted at the opposite end of the ground from the segregation.
