Irn Bru Cup: Spartans in midweek action at Albion Rovers

Spartans head West tonight (Tuesday) to take on Albion Rovers in Round 1 of the South Section of the Irn Bru Cup.

The sides last met in the Scottish Cup in October 2013, when the Coatbridge side narrowly scraped through 1-0 in front of an impressive travelling Spartan Army support.

Many of the personnel involved in the last encounter may well have changed, however the opportunity for the Lowland League side to claim a League 1 scalp remains the goal.

Dougie Samuel will once again have Ross Guthrie back in contention for a place in his starting XI after missing out at the weekend.

Kick-off at Cliftonhill is at 7.45pm.  Admission Prices: £10 Adults, £5 Concessions and £2 for Under 16s when accompanied by an adult.
