Les be having you! Under 20’s Cup Final rally call as curtain falls on campaignThe curtain comes down on the Spartans Under 20s season on Wednesday night when they look to add to the Challenge Cup success last week when they once again lock horns with East Kilbride at Ainslie Park, this time in the Final of the Knock-Out Cup.Friday night saw the sides fight it out for silverware with a sublime strike from Captain Adam Corbett enough to lift the trophy in yet another gargantuan grapple between the top two heavyweights. Title winners Kilby will head east looking to bounce back from the defeat on their home patch in the second cup final between the teams in under a week. Spartans Head Coach Les Atkinson will leave his selection til late to allow any players with niggles the opportunity to make themselves available for this season’s final swansong. The match kicks off at 7.45pm. Admission for the Final is £5 adults, £3 concessions. Tale of the Tape: Matches between Spartans and East Kilbride 20s, as we’ve seen in the Lowland League too, have been close and tough affairs. The four fixtures have seen 3 draws – including one of the most incredible games played at Ainslie Park back in February – and just the one victory mentioned above.
