Sammy’s Spartans seek another shot at silverware

Posted on Sunday, April 30th, 2017

Dougie Samuel takes his Spartans side back to K-Park looking for another cup tie victory against hosts East Kilbride – this time in the Lowland League League Cup.

With the Football Nation Qualifying Cup sitting at Ainslie Park with white and red ribbons on, Spartans set out to make it a trophy double in what’s been arguably the most competitive Lowland League season yet.

Squad news sees Michael Herd return from suspension following his sending off at the same venue recently whilst Shaun Turnbull and Under 20s starlets Cameron Dawson and Adam Corbett are added to the squad.  Igor Gabiola disappointingly misses out having not recovered in time from an unhelpful challenge on him last week.  Also in the frame for the game is Scott Maxwell who has been shaking off a knock but should be good to go.

Kick-off at K-Park is 3pm.
