Samuel boosted by strengthened squad in bid to take down the Terries

Posted on Saturday, March 11th, 2017

Whilst Scotland head to Twickenham to renew old acquaintances with the Auld Enemy, Spartans head to the ‘Home of Rugby’ as they take on Hawick Royal Albert in the Ferrari Packaging Lowland League.

Local lad Stuart Hogg will be looking to plot England’s downfall whilst Dougie Samuel will take his squad to Albert Park looking to successfully convert an opportunity in the Borders for three points.

With new Manager Kevin Milne in place, the hosts undoubtedly will be keen to avoid a repeat of the 9-1 defeat suffered at Ainslie Park earlier in the season however Samuel is boosted by the return of Paul Thomson, Blair Carswell, David Greenhill, Michael Herd, Igor Gabiola and Alan Brown.  A near full squad offers Samuel a chance to build on last week’s draw against Vale and close the gap on second place East Stirling.

The match at Albert Park kicks-off at 3pm.
