Spartans head to Star in bid to extend winning runSpartans look to extend their 10 match Ferrari Packaging Lowland League unbeaten run when they take a trip to Dalbeattie Star on Saturday. With the games coming in thick and fast, Manager Dougie Samuel’s squad rotation will be a key factor in who will be on the bus for a game that may well secure a runners-up spot for his side’s endeavours this season. When the teams last met back in August, Spartans ran out 4-2 winners however the hosts will be keen to seek revenge and sign off their League campaign with a victory. Star gaffer Darren Kerr is reported in one newspaper to be changing their side from their defeat against Stirling as they’ll have “one eye on the cup game next week.” Saturday’s game is the first of a double header inside seven days as they lock horns once again next weekend in the Lowland League Cup at Ainslie Park.
