Pastures new for Colts in augural visit to Ainslie Park

Spartans welcome Cumbernauld Colts to Ainslie Park in a ‘Double Header Saturday’ which also sees a lunchtime East of Scotland bout against Ormiston.

After back to back victories against Edinburgh Uni & East Kilbride, gaffer Dougie Samuel will be looking for a hat-trick of consecutive wins as the Lowland League debutants head East.

The Colts have had a great debut season so far and are rightly sitting in a very credible fourth in the table, with Spartans currently occupying second spot.

Eddie Malone is back in contention for a after suspension whilst Paul Thomson looks set to miss out after picking up a knock last week at East Kilbride.

This may be the first ever visit to Ainslie Park for the Colts, but they don’t have to wait long to come back as their second visit is scheduled for next Saturday for a South Challenge Cup tie.

Meanwhile, at 12.45, Colin Tomassi’s East of Scotland side take on Ormiston in League action.  Spartans will be looking to get back to winning ways after narrow losses to Burntisland and Hawick RA in a weather ravaged winter fixture calendar.

The double header sees prices fixed at £5 Adults and £3 Concessions.  Under 16s can once again watch football for FREE!
