Watt a weekend of footy head at Ainslie Park

Posted on Friday, November 13th, 2015

It’s a Heriot Watt double header at Ainslie Park this weekend as the Under 20s and Lowland League side take on the Students in League and Cup duty respectively, whilst the East of Scotland side head to the Borders to take on Eyemouth United.

The youngsters welcome their Student counterparts on Friday night in Under 20s League action, looking to bounceback after last week’s defeat against Whitehill Welfare. Les Atkinson’s side will be keen to get back to winning ways after a frustrating trio of losses which haven’t reflected their performances on the pitch.

On Saturday afternoon, it’s another break from Lowland League duty for Dougie Samuel and the Lowland League team when they take on the Watt in Round 2 of the South Challenge Cup. The Students currently sit fourth in the East of Scotland League and their youth and pace will offer tough opposition in this knock-out tie.

Meanwhile, Colin Tomassi’s East of Scotland outfit will be out to close the gap on league leaders Leith with three points on the road against Eyemouth who go into the game searching for their first victory of the season.
