The Road to Hampden : Second Round Draw this Thursday

The next stop on the Road to Hampden will be known at around 2pm on Thursday 1st October as the draw for Round 2 of the William Hill Scottish Cup takes place at the National Stadium.

The Spartans take their place in the 32 team filled ‘hat’ after an Aaron Murrell inspired 5-1 win over Coldstream saw Dougie Samuel’s side progress against the East of Scotland men from the Borders.

Joining the Round 1 victors – and those set to replay this coming weekend – are Brora Rangers and Turriff Utd from the Highland League, whilst fellow Lowland League teams Edinburgh City and East Kilbride. 10 teams from Scottish Professional Football League (League 2) also enter the oldest domestic competition at this stage.
