Spartans complete a mammoth eight game August on Saturday when they welcome Edinburgh University to Ainslie Park for the Bank Holiday weekend clash.

It was the same opposition were the last to fall two weeks ago against Dougie Samuel’s side who have been hampered by a plethora of injuries in the congested start to the season.   The treatment table had another visitor this week in the shape of Paul Thomson who is rated doubtful ahead of the University challenge.
