Spartans out to put spanners in Panners Lowland League works

Posted on Tuesday, August 4th, 2015

Spartans continue the fast and furious start to the Ferrari Packaging Lowland League fixture card with a midweek clash against Colin Jack’s Preston Athletic side at home on Wednesday evening.

The match will see two former Spartans return to Ainslie Park, with keeper Chris Flockhart and former Captain Robbie Manson currently plying their trade with the East Lothian outfit who will be looking to bounce back after their opening day defeat at home to Gala.

Keith Murray’s perfectly executed equaliser on Sunday at Stirling earned his new club a share of the spoils and Dougie Samuel will be keen for his men to go one step further and get a first win under their belt as they look to regain the crown from Edinburgh City.

One noticeable absentee from the starting XI from Forthbank at the weekend will be talisman Ally Mackinnon.  The Captain tweaked a hamstring and will be assessed for the depth of the injury to determine his time on the sideline.  Waiting in the wings for a return to the squad is Danny Main who makes a short-term return from Dubai.

The match kicks-off at 7.45pm.  Season tickets are available at the gate, priced £50 for Adults, £25 Concessions.  SPFL season ticket holders can also purchase season tickets for half-price on production of their club’s pass.
