Spartans face Stirling University test in Lowland League opener

Spartans will kick-off their 2015/16 Scottish Sun Lowland League campaign away to Stirling University on Saturday August 1st.

The fixtures unveiled by the Lowland League board then see Dougie Samuel’s side play back-to-back fixtures at Ainslie Park, with Preston Athletic our ‘first footers’ on Wednesday 5th before Dalbeattie Star make the trip to the Capital the following Saturday.

The Capital will have a New Year’s Derby after all, with Edinburgh City visiting The Academy on Saturday 2nd January as the inaugural and current league champions lock horns to bring in the new year with a bang.

The successful Ground Hop weekend makes a welcome return in March, with games spread over a 3 day window, including Spartans v Stirling University on Saturday 12th with a 5pm kick-off.
