Jimmy Dunnett Reunion

Colin Hutchison will be hosting an evening for Jimmy Dunnett on Tuesday the 7th April in the Angel Share bar, Edinburgh. The evening will kick off at 7.00pm and a fork buffet will be provided, the cost for the evening is expected to be between £15 – £20. Jimmy will be presented with his Spartans ‘Hall of Fame’ award on the night.

As many will know, Jimmy and his family played a major part in the development of Spartans throughout the seventies and eighties. Jimmy was player/coach when Spartans won the East of Scotland League for the first time in season 1971/1972. Having emigrated to Canada, he returned to Scotland and managed the team for three seasons, 1982/83, 1983/84, 1984/85, a significant period in which Spartans won the league (83/84) and finished runners up twice, once on goal difference. This period provided the impetus for where we are today.
