Sterling performance at Stirling sought as Spartans seek 2nd place slotSpartans head to Stirling to take on the Students in the latest round of Scottish Sun Lowland League as both sides look to boost their bid for a second place berth come the end of April.Willie Bremner and Keith McLeod were the goal scoring heroes when the sides met back in August in a narrow 2-1 victory and Spartans Manager Dougie Samuel will be keen for a similar winning outcome this time out. With 5 matches left in this season’s League campaign, Samuel is keen to build on the previous two undefeated outings against Preston and Dalbeattie and end the campaign on a high. Just four points separate fourth place Spartans and the runners-up spot and with 15 championship points left to play for, a win on the road at Forthbank on Saturday will be a valuable boost as the season enters the home straight. Kick-off is at 3pm, Forthbank Stadium. |
