Jack Signs Up In The Nix Of Time

We are delighted to announce the signing of Jack Nixon. Jack completed his move from Stirling University on Friday afternoon. The influential defender makes the move to Ainslie Park having graduated before the summer. Jack was the Uni captain last season and has been a consistent regular in the hugely successful student side over the last few seasons. Having scored a couple of goals against us in the past, we are certainly pleased that he will be playing for us, rather than against us!

Spartans manager Dougie Samuel added. “Jack is a player who has been on our radar for sometime. We are delighted he has chosen to join us. He has a proven pedigree and will strengthen and increase our options in various positions.”

While signed in time to feature in our Scottish Cup game at home to East Kilbride, Jack was carrying a suspension from a red card against Bonnyrigg Rose from last season’s tournament. He has now served that suspension and will be available for selection in this weekend’s replay. We’ll have more information on the details of that replay tomorrow.
