Manager Hopes Momentum is Taken to Threave

Posted on Friday, August 15th, 2014

We’re back in Lowland League action tomorrow as the side leave for Threave. The team bus will leave just after ten am as we travel to Castle Douglas to take on Threave Rovers.

Manager Dougie Samuel is hoping to build on last weekend’s dramatic last minute win.
“We are looking forward to the game vs. Threave this weekend. It’s a chance to create some momentum following our away win at Gala, however, as we have seen already in the first 2 weeks of the season the league is much stronger this year. Threave will be boosted from their hard fought draw against Preston last weekend, and be thinking along similar lines.”

“On the player front Alan ‘Hovie’ Brown trained both nights this week and will travel, as will Jack Beacher who played a half in midweek for our EofS side in a friendly vs. Dalkeith Juniors. Willie Bremner also returned this week and is available for selection. Definitely out this weekend are Cloudy (foot injury), Iain Thomson (eye infection) and Robbie Ross (ankle injury) the case of the latter, neither Tommo or Robbo have been able to train at all this season so far.”

Threave currently sit 12th in the table with 1 point after three games, while we currently sit 7th in the table on 6 points.
