Receiving you McLeod and clear! Striker collects second Player of the Month Award

Posted on Monday, January 6th, 2014

Keith McLeod’s rich vein of form in front of goal has impressed his peers once again as he is named Colin Campbell Sports Player of the Month for the second consecutive period.

After picking up the inaugural coveted award in October, the 35 year old Spartans legend continues to catch the eye of his Scottish Sun Lowland League opponents to scoop the prize for his performances in November and the one league match before the League Cup commenced in December.

On receiving his second award of the campaign, presented by Spartans Manager Dougie Samuel, ‘Cloudy’ said, “I’m delighted to win the award again, over the moon in fact, but I’m well aware it’s a team game and I’m lucky enough to have the best group of players in the league playing alongside me”.

The Colin Campbell Sports sponsored monthly award involves each of the Scottish Sun Lowland League clubs nominating a player from an opposing team.

Keith McLeod has scored 263 times in his 381 appearances for Spartans.
