Another Successful WeekendThe Lowland League side secured an important 3 points with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Edinburgh City at Ainslie Park. On form striker Keith McLeod scored the only goal of the game in the 29th minute following a neat pass from Kevin Motion. A very even game, Danny O’Donnell picked up the Malt & Hops Man of the Match award for a solid defensive performance, frustrating the City attackers all afternoon.The East of Scotland team kept up their recent good form with a 0-0 draw away to Heriot-Watt Uni at Riccarton. we have the chance to steal the game at the end however the Watt defenders cleared the ball off the line to ensure the points were shared. The Saturday Amateur side beat Uphall Station 1-0 in the first round of the Centenary Cup. Andy Hornell scoring the only goal of the game. The under 19 side made it a double victory over Edinburgh City this weekend as they secured a 4-2 victory in the League Cup. Blair Atkinson scored a double with Dylan Tait and Jamie Dishington also on the scoresheet. |
