Weekend Round-upThe Seniors will be in the hat ahead of Monday afternoon’s William Hill Scottish Cup Round 2 draw after a gutsy 2-0 win at Peffermill against EoS outfit Edinburgh University. Man of the Match Donal Henretty grabbed both goals in the first half in front of a sizeable crowd. You can read the Match Report online hereThe Reserves lost 2 – 1 to Tynecastle at home. We had a disappointing start losing two goals in the first 4 minutes. Michael Gray pulled a goal back early in the second half but despite pressure and chances our start to the game had cost us. Next up is a league game this Friday night at the Academy at home to Coldstream with a 7.45pm. Our EoS 19s had a comprehensive 12 – 2 win at Hawick with five goals each for Blair Atkinson and Tam Meldrum, Brad Raiker and Jordan Brown also on the scoresheet. Our game next weekend is our Round 1 SFA Youth Cup against Hearts. It is an Under 20 tourney however Hearts team is much younger given the young players currently playing with the 1st XI and our team will be our U19s. The ko next Sunday is 1pm at Tynecastle. Our Women’s Seniors came from behind to draw 1 – 1 with Celtic at a windswept Ainslie Park with Lana Clelland scoring to keep us in 3rd place with four games to go. The Reserves beat Leith Athletic 5-0 on the Community Pitch with goals from Nichola Sturrock (2), Emma Stewart, Maggie Donald & Laura McRitchie. |
