Weekend Roundup

It took extra time for the Seniors side to come out victors in a 3-1 win against Edinburgh City. You can read a full match report here.

The Reserves played Berwick rangers away in the League cup with a depleted squad however it was a chance to give U19 player Brad Raiker a debut in midfield, and he had an excellent game.  Berwick deserved their 2 – 1 win with Michael Gray scoring our goal.  Our young squad played well at times with Robbie Laird, despite filling in at centre half, the pick of the players.

Our Amateurs have rebounded from their loss last Saturday. A midweek win was followed by an excellent 3 – 2 away win at champions Sandy’s.  The goals came from Simon Ferry, Dave Campbell and Jamie Campbell.

Our 19s play a friendly this week on the stadium pitch against Murieston with a 7.30 ko as their last warm up game before the league starts next weekend.

Our Womens team travelled to champions Glasgow City and lost 8 – 1 after equalising in the first half through Alena Marshall.  City are simply miles better than all the other teams in Scotland just now.
