The Seniors drew 3 – 3 in our opening league game away to Civil Service Strollers. strollers opened the scoring after 15 minutes when O’Neill went through to score. We came more into the game as the half progresses and a Keith McLeod double just before half time saw us take the lead. Firstly Keith nicked home after Mark Whatley’s header was saved and then Danny O’Donnell’s cutback was smartly dispatched into the net. We looked like scoring and Keith could have scored on the hour mark but missed from close range. Strollers went straight back down he pitch and strip by Danny game them a penalty which Scales scored. Our substitutes were making a big impact with Sean Wringe looking very dangerous and it could have been a penalty when he was tripped. A spot kick was only a minute away when Chris Anderson was blocked and Keith knocked the ball into the bottom corner for his hat trick. We were keeping the ball well but Strollers are a big team and looked dangerous from set pieces. In the final minute Aitchison equalised when we failed to clear a corner. We had played really well going forward but a couple of mistakes were costly. The Malt and Hops man of the match wen to Keith McLeod. team: Flockhart, O’Donnell (Anderson), Ceenzaro, Seeley, Sivewright, Manson, Whatley, Beesley (Henretty), Finnie (Wringe), McLeod, Martin Subs not used Irvine, Gilpin
