Update from Craig after today’s Panel

“Having met Stewart Regan after today’s panel and then David Little from SYFA, followed by the drive back to Edinburgh, we’ve had a chance to reflect on the meeting.
It was good to receive the sympathy of the panel and that is reflected in us only receiving a suspended fine. In previous years teams have just been fined or ordered to replay games when “worse” offences have been committed however we all knew the Scottish Cup competition rules were redrafted in the Summer to give absolute clarity that failure to register a player would result in mandatory expulsion. This clarity is good for Scottish football, we are just very unfortunate that we have been the first victim!
Our next competitive Seniors game might now be a few weeks away but it can’t come soon enough! I’m sure all the players representing Spartans across our various teams over the next few weeks and months will be especially determined to put this behind us and excel.
