Management thoughts on a first encounter.

Mike says –

“Tonight we play Leith Athletic for the first time ever in a competitive game (or otherwise) as far as I know and both sets of players will be looking forward to it. I saw Easthouses narrowly beat Craigroyston last night which will make it very tight at the top of League Cup Section B should we manage to improve our form over the last two games. Having seen The Lily twice in four days I have to assume that Leith are a step up having pipped the Newbattle side for promotion last season. That’s the message I’ll be putting across to our players before tonight’s game but whatever Sam and I say they’ll have to improve as a team on Saturday’s form.

Dean Hoskins will miss out tonight having taken a knock on Saturday but Sam and I won’t be making many more changes this evening. We have to win tonight and Saturday to have any chance of progressing so there is little chance that we will experiment. Ali MacKinnon will hopefully come back into the side in a must win game. Clarke Vietch and Chris Smith are added to the side in what we hope will be a very entertaining game.

Let’s hope the rain stays away.”
