Management thoughts on Easthouses tomorrow

Mike says –

“Sam and I were very happy with the performance at Kelso on Tuesday but are well aware that a trip to Easthouses is a different ball game. I took in part of their pre-season friendly against Musselburgh Juniors a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed by the squad Davie McQueenie has put together this season. Both Easthouses and ourselves sit with identical records in Section B of the League Cup table (they are actually ahead of us in alphabetical order) so it’s all to play for tomorrow.

Should the weather permit Omar Kader, Chris Smith and hopefully Kevin Sivewright will be available for selection for the first time this season. I say hopefully about Sivvy as he’s been on holiday and should return before the game. Ali MacKinnon with a head knock on Tuesday and Gary Bannon (at a wedding) will miss the game so the team from Kelso will change.

As I’ve said on here before Sam and I will use the League Cup to give every signed player an opportunity to stake a claim for a place in the side this season and with Danny O’Donnell, Keith McLeod, David Etale, Stewart Fowlie and Gavin Malin all missing for one reason or another there are opportunities for those available.

Let’s hope the rain abates and we get a game of football.”
