Women lose League Cup final

Hibernian beat us 5 – 2 last night to deservedly lift the trophy. We scored after four minutes when a Hayley Lauder header floated into the top corner and well looking good. As the half progressed however Hibs began to dominate especially from set pieces and four goals in a 20 minute spell before the break completely changed the game. A more attacking formation in the second half from us in the second half changed the pattern and it was no surprise when we pulled one back through Kirsty McLaughlin with 25 minutes to go. We dominated for five minutes but a breakaway saw Hibs score a 5th and the game was over. Well done to Hibs but an excellent second half from us shows that we will be pushing for honours throughout the Summer.
