Management thoughts on Peffermill tonight.

Mike says –

“Our third game since Sunday and one we could honestly do without. We are still in the League Cup and with the King Cup Final to look forward to unfinished league business is the least of our priorities. Selkirk and Preston will expect us to put out our strongest available 11 against Heriot-Watt on Saturday and that we will but tonight injuries and circumstances forbid that.

Omar Kader and Robbie Manson aren’t about this mid-week, Alex King, David Etale and Kevin Sivewright are all injured and Jordan Finnie will train with the Under 19’s tonight with the second leg of a big semi against Strollers to come for them on Sunday. On the plus side we are hopeful Mark Burns and Jonathan Seeley will be available along with Liam Donnelly and Sean Wringe from the 19’s (Jordon hasn’t trained much with his own team a lot recently hence him returning to his own side’s training). As I said yesterday Sam and I will check for knocks, take a head count and only then, pick a side.

Sammy and his boys have had a great East of Scotland and mid-week University season and like us he has other things on his mind. They travel down to their British Universities Cup Final next mid week and he may use tonight as a rehearsal our save one or two for the big game. Only time will tell and we’ll find out when we see their team sheet tonight.

As far as we are aware the game is not being played on the normal pitch at Peffermill due to cricket so we’re heading to the new pavilion next to the astro hockey pitches. If you’re coming down to watch enter by the main entrance and don’t stay on the bus past the biscuit factory as normal.”
