Management thoughts on the Souters return for our league game.Mike says –“After Saturday our lads sure know what to expect tonight but then again so do the boys from Selkirk. The league encounter down at Yarrow Park ended fortuitously 2-1 in our favour and the same score looked on the cards when we met a few days ago before Archie’s late cross shot looped into the far top corner. On both occasions the battling Borders side made us work very hard for our victory and we expect more of the same tonight. We will make one enforced change tonight as Omar Kader is back down south during the week. Hopefully Alex King will be fit enough to start and it seems Doctor Seeley’s shift might allow him to make kick off time and the bench. As a precaution we’ll bring in another Under 19 players to keep Jordan company. Tonight may still be too soon for Scott Livingstone while David Etale isn’t a big enough celebrity to get out the Jungle quite yet. Being a cup semi-final Saturday’s was a big, big game but believe me tonight is bigger. The League is our number one priority and we have to keep the pressure on the chasing pack. Selkirk were and can again be in that pack and they’ll still be smarting from the points unfortunately taken away from them last month. If the players who start give as much effort and show as much skill as was on show on Saturday those who come down to the Academy tonight are in for a treat.” Mike |
