‘The Bryce is right’ for Juniors and Seniors progress to Semi FinalThe Seniors survived a late scare to secure a 3-2 victory away to Glasgow University in the South Challenge Cup quarter final. We had an impressive first half performance and it only took 15 minutes for Danny O’Donnell to open the scoring from a Robbie Manson cross. Ross Archibald scored 2 goals in 2 minutes shortly after, poking home following a Chris Townsley header in the 27th minute before tapping in a mis-hit Gavin Malin strike just 60 seconds later. The second half wasn’t quite as one sided as the first and the Uni scored from a penalty in the 75th minute. The home side then scored a header to further reduce the defecit in the 87th minute and to ensure we had a nervous last few minutes. However we held strong and progress to the semi final. The Malt and Hops man of the match was Ross Archibald.
