Amateurs go down

The Amateurs lost 3 – 1 to Newtongrange Star today in a Cairns Cup game.  We opened the scoring in the 35th minute when Steve Malin notched from close range however two minutes later Star equalised from the spot after Gary Young was harshly adjudged to have brought down the Star striker.  Star scored their second on 60 minutes and despite plenty of the ball Star looked more dangrous on the break and scored a third in the final minute.

The EoS 19s and Sunday Amateurs games tomorrow have been postponed.
