Management thoughts on our workout against Forfar.

Mike says –

“I wasn’t a happy bunny after the game yesterday that’s for sure. I don’t care who we are playing and who is on or off the park as losing a three goal lead and conceding two sloppy goals in the final eight minutes of any game just isn’t good enough. I made my feelings clear in the home dressing room at full-time and later into the evening over a couple of beers with Sam and the players my mood hadn’t really lifted. We have to concentrate for 90 minutes and be professional in our actions. We definitely were not that in the closing stages against Forfar yesterday.

Another day, another dollar (or should that be snow storm) and my mood has lifted slightly. We got a game of football when most of Scotland didn’t. We got a run out against a good second division SFL side. We scored three goals against them when we couldn’t find one last season in the Scottish Cup. We created numerous other chances in what was a really good exercise for both teams. No, life isn’t all that bad but we have to learn from our mistakes and move on.

Training this Tuesday must be in doubt with the snow reappearing today. Let’s hope we don’t get near as much as last time round and we can do a bit over the next fortnight. We have games on the Field Turf pencilled in for both festive Monday’s at 1.00 where despite missing one or two through holidays we hope to keep as many of the squad as fit as possible.

Watch this space.”
