Great result for Womens team and 19s but Amateurs go down

Posted on Sunday, October 31st, 2010

The Womens team had a great 1 – 0 win over Hibs to confirm 3rd place in the league with only next week’s game against Celtic to come. Di Barry scored her 41st of the season in the second half with a great strike. Hibs are on a great run but we played as well as we have done all season. Manager Debbi McCullcoh said “it was an excellent performance, the players were brilliant. We defended very well when we needed to, we’re all delighted”.
The EoS 19s had a superb 2 – 0 win over previously undefeated Leith Athletic in the League Cup with goals from Andrew Sinclair and Scott Hunter.
Unfortunately the Sunday Amateurs lost 4 – 2 to Newton Heath in the Association Cup, no recovering from a poor first half when we were 3 – 0 down at half time.
