Management thoughts on todays game between two unbeaten teams.Mike says –“Something’s got to give this afternoon – someone’s unbeaten league record has to go. That’s not true Michael because if it’s a draw as it was after 90 minutes a couple of weeks ago at Peffermill, a point each would will be the outcome. Sammy is never sure what he’s got at the start of a season; he’s only sure of who has graduated and is lost to his team. He lost two or three very good players in the summer and talking to him in July he was a bit anxious with Premier League safety his primary goal. Well that was hit on the head with five straight league wins. One or two new stars, a few very good players coming up from their under age side, a couple of experienced player/coaches and the Uni team are riding high. The cup game at Peffermill was in the balance for a long, long time and our lot know only their best will do today. Sammy has one of two injuries and we will be without Danny (who’s at Ross Hutchison’s wedding) and David who’s thigh injury is still not cleared. We’ll make at least one change from last week’s team at Keith and today we play the first of four straight home games. That doesn’t happen very often and we are looking forward to running out at the Academy today. Come down and watch two unbeaten league teams.” Mike |
