Juniors back to winning ways in league

Spartans Juniors secured a 3-0 away victory today at West Calder United.

The first half seemed to be a continuation of last weeks disappointing performance. Both teams hit the woodwork but neither was able to score and a dire first 45 minutes.

We came out as a different team in the second half. It took only 5 minutes for Nick Reid to fire home after Kenny Youngs strike hit the bar and bounced on the line. Ross McKenzie made it 2-0 following a sweeping move just 5 minutes later. Spartans completed the scoring for the day just minutes later when Mark Cowan scored to keep himself top of the scoring charts.

The Juniors now travel to Arbroath next week in the first round of the EOS cup.
