Keith - 31 goals in 38 starts plus 2 as a sub, career 190 goals in 259 gamesLast night at the East of Scotland Football Association dinner at Easter Road Keith McLeod won the Premier Division Player of the Year award. Earlier this month managers in the Premier League were asked to name the top three players outwith their own club in the division. Keith made a shortlist of three along with the league’s top scorer Wayne McIntosh of Lothian and our own Kevin Sivewright.

Keith was “delighted to win the award; over the moon in fact but I’m well aware it’s a team game and I’m lucky enough to have the best group of players in the league playing alongside me”.

It’s a well deserved honour for a player who has turned down opportunities to play at a higher level in the past. Spartans are fortunate to have such a talented and loyal striker leading their line.

Keith scored 31 goals in 38 starts and 2 appearances from the bench this season. His career totals are 190 goals in 259 games. Quite a remarkable tally.
