Scottish Womens Cup Final tonight – Celtic vs Spartans

Posted on Wednesday, May 12th, 2010

Excitement is building ahead of tonight’s cup final at the Academy on the stadium pitch.  Celtic are undefeated so far this season and are confident of taking the trophy home to Glasgow…although they did suggest it was unfair that the final venue was the Academy…even although it had been agreed months ago.

Our coach Debbi McCulloch has a couple of injury doubts but has been pleased with recent performances.  We watched the Celtic game on Sunday against Rangers in preparation for tonight and this is the first time striker Pauline Hammill has played against Celtic since she signed for us from them at the start of the season.   Pauline, Di Barry and Hayley Lauder have been scoring regularly for us all season and if they are in top form they will be a real handful for the Celtic defence.

Admission is £3/£1 and ko is 7.30.
