Management thoughts on a 6-3 win

“As the score suggests this was a game for the fans but as co-managers Sam and I were left shaking our heads. Don’t get me wrong we wanted the three points which we got but our defensive lapses gives us all a reminder that we are far from the finished article.

As I said to the players on numerous occasions this season “when we are good we are very, very good but when we are not we are…….” I’ll leave the dots to your imagination.

Anyway, on the bright side we showed we can play without a real physical presence up front with both Cloudie and Donal not available. The movement Omar and Gavin gave us means we have a different dimention to our attacking game when we need it. Some of our play in the first half was breath taking but as I say there is still work we can do on defending as a team.

Nine goals for the fans, three points in the pocket and food for thought.”
