Seniors secure strong win over Juniors

Spartans senior team won 7-1 today against the Junior side in their final preparations before opening their league campaign at home to Whitehill Welfare next weekend.

Spartans Juniors, playing their first game on the new Ainslie Park pitch, started strong and took the lead through Iain Cartwright. Ross Archibald scored to equalise before Robbie Manson gave them the lead.

The Senior side then went on to score goals from Dean Hoskins, Michael Moffat and a Keith McLeod hat trick sealed a convincing win.

The Juniors open their campaign next saturday with an away trip to Newtongrange Star.

Both matches next weekend kick off at 2:30pm.
