Friendly Victory

In a close encounter tonight we beat Newtongrane Star 1 – 0 with a late Adam Perry strike.  Star had the better of the first half and should have been ahead at the break.  We played better in the second half and might have scored firstly when Gavin Malin’s cross cum shot hit the bar and then when keith Mcleod’s header from a Dean Hoskins cross went wide.  Adam’s goal came with ten to go when he latched onto a Michel Opilka through ball to knock it past the ‘keeper.
