Spartans Legends secured a 3-3 draw against Lothian Thistle yesterday. Goals for Spartans came from Ford, top goal scorer Lawson and Manager Hoy. Despite losing 2-1 at half time, the Legends team managed to battle into a 3-2 lead with only minutes remaining, however a Lothian equaliser was to be the last goal of the game. Mike Drabble flew up from London and captained the team on his first game in over 15 years for Spartans. The team played well and manager Hoy was satisfied with the performance and took the blame for the late equaliser.
“Due to a managerial mistake I took 6 players off but only put 5 on, so when they scored we were down to ten men!” Euan Hoy, Spartans Legends Manager
