Scottish Regional Cup (South) Semi Final

Posted on Friday, December 12th, 2008

The new Regional Cup is realistically the biggest we can win so tomorrow’s semi final againt Easthouses is a massive fixture for us.  The kick off is 1.15 (not 1.30 as previously advertised) and the coaching staff have a few injury worries to consider.  Nicky Walker’s calf injury looks certain to rule him out while Stewart Fowlie and Ross Archibald have both missed training this week due to flu.  Struan Preston has also missed training this week as his ankle knock takes longer to recover than expected.  The substitutes at Elgin made a big impact so Gavin Malin, Dean Hoskins and Daryl Devlin may all feature in the starting XI.  James Hair who missed out last week will also come into the rackoning to give defensive cover.  Co Manager Sam Lynch said “we spent all last night at training drumming into the players how impoortant tomorrow’s game is and to forget about Elgin.  Let’s hope the game is on, apparently the pitch was playable yesterday.  After our defensive mistakes last week we need to be more solid.  We lost at Easthouses in the league last season and it is al
