The Big Game Tomorrow

Posted on Friday, October 24th, 2008

We are delighted to report that star striker Keith McLeod has trained well this week and will at least make the bench for the game tomorrow.  Keith is Spartans’ top scorer in the Scottish Cup with 8 goals and although not fully fit gives the squad a big lift ahead of tomorrow’s game.  Recent signing midfielder Scott Livingston has a slight knock which saw him come off early in last week’s game against Dalbeattie but he is expected to be available for the starting line up.  Scott’s experience of over 100 SFL games for East Stirling will be invaluable tomorrow.  Youngster Gavin Malin did well in his first start last week and is certainly pushing for a place.

There is a 10am pitch inspection at galabank in the morning but the pitch was playable today and it’s looking promising.

A reminder that the Spartans charter train from Waverley to Lockerbie leaves at 1050, and the supporters double decker bus leaves Inverleith Park at 10.30.
