Light nights?

July 16, 2008

Late.                       I’ve not got much to say tonight as I’ve rabbited on a bit today already. We’ll have a light night tomorrow. By that I mean we won’t have any 220 or 150 yard runs. Mike will shorten things down and work at sharper function based on crisp passing.

I’ll probably be passing crisps in Leslies later on - that or peanuts. Before that I’ll pass out the new Spartan’s Fred Perry’s and sort out if I’m going to have to pack my shin guards for Sunday.  I think I have a pool of 19 to pick from against Stranraer on Saturday but at the latest count it’s down to 12 or 13 (and counting) players to pick from for whoever we get on Sunday.

Still it’s only pre-season and we need everybody to get games.

When would you class as the middle of summer? I just asked Irene and she said the middle to end of July. That’s roughly what I would have said also as I always used to think summer started with the school holidays.

How come then is it that the longest day and therefore the lightest night is in June?

The nights are fair drawing in.
