Rafa, Hibs and Commiserations.
July 7, 2008
How good was Rafa last night. Roger Federer almost looked vulnerable at times which you wouldn’t think possible.
A great double for Espana but with Rafa and Djokovic in the same age group as our Andy it doesn’t look too bright a future, in winning title terms at least, for the big Hibs supporter from Dunblane.
Talking of Hibs they were always going to struggle against a team in the middle of their season. Hibs are still in the tie of course and whatever happens at Easter Road the two competitive games will set Hibs up nicely for the season ahead.
Finally for now thanks to Nelly and Ian Smith from the Uni. I spoke to Neil on Thursday night and he was really surprised and a bit down we didn’t make it. Dr Smith sent a nice note to the club as well which shows despite the rivalry there is a healthy respect between us and the Uni.
There should be of course as they are our mother club after all.
